Abstract instrumental miniatures from Dominique Grimaud and Monique Alba aka Video-Aventures. Originally recorded in 1979 and then eventually released in 1981, this studio venture between the pair began after the downfall of their band Camizole. The combination of undefined, drifting synthesizers and Hawaiian-style steel guitar on half of the eight tracks is an appealing one, and the others explore equally interesting moods and textures. Challenging, provocative music yet fully accessible. Give it a go!
